SUSTAINABILITY AND THE ENVIRONMENT

Making the decision of using MCU Botanicals outstanding product of CBD is a choice that can impact yourself as well as the environment. Choosing to use CBD and hemp products only mean planting more hemp, which we believe can only be a good thing for many reasons.
Unknown clearly until recently, most people will know the health, commercial and industrial properties of hemp which have been known for a very long time.

Fuel

The plant of hemp is low in moisture of which dries quickly and is an efficient biomass source of methanol. Waste products which is produced by hemp oil is a good source of ethanol. During the process of the thermo-chemical conversion, both methanol and ethanol are produced from the hemp which is efficient and economical.

Paper

Paper and packaging can be made from hemp. Since hemp has a low lignin content compared to wood, it can be turned to pulp faster and easier; this naturally bright pulp does not need chlorine bleaching, which is used in traditional paper mills and releases a toxic substance called dioxin into the environment. Hemp is also compatible with the new soy-based binders rather than the harsh binders that give off formaldehyde. This obviously reduces air pollution and health concerns to human and animal life. The quality of paper obtained from hemp is more durable and does not lose its color even after many years. Much more can be got out of each hemp plant since its paper can be recycled 7 or 8 times, compared to only 3 for paper made from trees.

Construction

Hemp can also be used within construction. Lighter then wood, fibreboards made from hemp-based composite are much stronger. Combining hemp fibre along with lime results in a sound proofing/insulating material is much stronger than concrete. Since homes were built using hemp products have achieved better insulation meaning less fuel is required for the heating process. Bio-based plastics can be produced from the long hemp fibres which are almost as strong as fibreglass. Safe for workers, hemp is recyclable, an economical construction which is much cheaper that glass.

All round hemp is Much Better for the Environment:

An all-round hemp is much better for the environment;

This can replace trees as the source of raw material for wood and paper, thereby conserving our forests. Trees taking many years to grow, hemp can only be grown in a matter of a few months. Just one acre of hemp can produce annually as much as 4 acres of trees.
As a fuel whilst burning hemp, this releases carbon dioxide into the air. This is then absorbed by the next crop which then can be harvested 120 days after planting.

Hemp products can be recycled, reused and are 100% biodegradable. The growth of the plant is fast enough to meet the increasing industrial and commercial demand for these products. Switching to hemp products will help save the environment, leaving a cleaner and greener planet for the next generation, which is surely the most important of facts when considering how we each live our lives?
